Churches and sacred heritage
Graniti
San Basilio Magno
The municipal description dates the start of the Mother Church to the early 17th century, with later alterations. It stands on rock and marks the upper and lower parts of the village. Inside are a wooden choir and a polychrome-marble high altar.
San Sebastiano and San Giuseppe
The present San Sebastiano church is 20th-century with a neoclassical façade. The patron’s summer celebration traditionally falls on the first Sunday of August. San Giuseppe is also 20th-century and is noted for its wooden altar.
Religious memory
The Misericordia church was lost in the 1880 landslide. At Muscianò, a grotto and Marian place of worship are associated with a local apparition tradition, rather than an established historical event. Check parish access arrangements.
