The Capuchin convent
The Capuchin convent was founded in 1570 beside Santa Maria delle Preci on land donated by Antonio Balsamo. Later extensions shaped the complex. Its heritage includes the Ruffo chapel, inlaid woodwork in the sacristies and a museum of Franciscan life. The former refectory houses an ethnographic collection, while the courtyard has medicinal plants.
